2017 Flu Immunisations are here!

Flu immunisations are now available!

Approximately 150 people die from influenza every year, with several hundred more hospitalised. Even without hospitalisation the flu can mean more than two weeks off work. Being immunised for the flu is the quickest and easiest way to protect yourself and your family.

How do I get immunised?

We offer lots of opportunities to get your immunisation, so you can find a time that works for you:

  • We offer dedicated clinics during the week, as well as bookings with our nurses. These are both during the day and after hours, so give us a call to find out when you can book yours.
  • You can also book your immunisation on a Saturday, so you can get it done while you're out and about.
  • If you're not one for booking, you can also drop in to our walk-in session on Saturdays during April. These are first in first served so you may have to wait a few minutes, but this can suit those with a busy but flexible day.

Are immunisations free?

For a lot of people immunisations are fully funded, regardless of whether you're enrolled with us or not. If you're pregnant or over 65 then you're automatically eligible, and you're also eligible if you have a chronic condition on this list. If you're not sure if you're eligible then give us a call on 04 920 8850 and ask to speak to a nurse.

If you're not eligible then you can still get a flu immunisation for the following costs:

Enrolled
$30
Casual
$35
