I am writing to let you know that I will be retiring as a regular GP at Johnsonville Medical Centre from 31 July 2021.
Thank you for the privilege of being your GP; I have enjoyed my years at Johnsonville Medical Centre immensely and I look back fondly at all the people and families who I have seen during my career. Both the community and the medical centre have grown during my time here and I am confident that the medical centre team can continue our high level of care.
From 1 August 2021 your GP will be Dr Owen Miller, an excellent GP who joined us in 2020 from Canada. You are also welcome to register with any of our other great GPs if you prefer; if you like I am available to provide any advice regarding your next GP.
If you already have another GP that you regularly see when I am unavailable then you are welcome to enrol with them on an ongoing basis. Alternatively the doctors at Johnsonville who are able to take on a significant number of new patients are:
Click on each GP's name to find out a bit more about them.
If you want to nominate a particular doctor as your GP then please get in touch with reception to let them know either by phone, email or online. If you would like to register with Dr Owen Miller you do not need to do anything, as your registration will be automatically transferred over on 1 August.
I will still be providing cover at Johnsonville Medical Centre through to 2022, so you will likely continue to see me around the practice occasionally. I am excited to see the current expansion project completed later this year and I am looking forward to seeing the Medical Centre continue to support our community with the new services and access that are happening this year.
Thank you again for your support and I wish you all the best for the future.
Dr Richard Tyler
